Hi,
Does your question now concern whether it is possible to get back the exact
same state of your model between
- the end of a 1st simulation
- the start of a 2d simulation = the end of the 1st simulation + deleting +
re-inserting a body, hoping to reinstall the same conditions than the end of
the 1st simulation
?
Your workflow and expected results actually are not completely clear to
me yet, but here are two remarks:
- in the 2d simulation you're doing one more iteration. I think you
should thus compare the 1st iteration of the 2d simulation with
iteration 101 of the 1st simulation, and not iteration 100
- did you try other damping values (0.05 instead of 0.7 for instance) ?
Just an idea to check whether this affects the behavior you observe
