It seems something has corrupted the scripts in IE or YM. Possibly something you did not intend or know about like drive-by spyware or other malware. Run a full virus/trojan/spyware scan. Also run a registry repair. I use http://www.WinAso.com free trial version of their Registry Optimizer and have been using this program for many years without any problems. More about this in my next link below. I don't run Firefox so I can't help you with that and I currently use IE7 with YM version 7.5.xxx so I haven't upgraded to 8.0.xxx since 7.5.xxx does everything I need without any problems I can attribute to 7.5.xxx. What version of IE and YM are/were you using? Did you do a clean install of the FULL version or did you use the installer version that Yahoo pushes on people from their website? I haven't had those kinds of errors in a long time but did see them a few years back. Are or were you using IE6 with SP2 or IE7? Or an earlier version of IE6 without SP2? It seems that was the last time I saw those kinds of script errors, was when I had IE6 with SP1. Have you tried a repair of IE... or upgrade to IE7 with a clean install? To me, it seems it would be more likely to be an IE issue rather than a YM issue but it would be best to do a complete uninstall of YM, do a registry clean, do an IE repair or clean install IE7, reboot, clean registry again and then reinstall a FULL version of YM. Here's my recent post of how I ALWAYS do a clean and full install of YM which may help. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Yahoo_Messenger/message/5220 Hope it helps. I have seen reference to the issue doing general searches so I do not believe that I am the only person suffering, however I am shocked at the lack of answers. When I click on a contact to open an IM window, I get an Internet Explorer script error message: Not enough storage is available to complete this operation It asks if I want to keep running scripts on this page, and then I get another script error message: Line 2389 char 24: 'YMSGR' is undefined I get that one 5 times before the box clears. When I try to send a message, I get another error: '$imbody' is undefined The message is apparently sent although it does NOT show up in the upper window. When I receive a message, I get a pop sound but the incoming message does not appear. Basically, YM is not working. Here is what I have done to try and resolve this: 1) Removed YM completely including deleting the entire c:/program files/Yahoo/Messenger directory, then reinstalled 2) Changed my default browser to Firefox and repeated #1 Nothing has worked. This all used to work last week and I have not installed anything weird, I do not think. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this. I signed up for yahoo phone and use it frequently so I am upset that it has all stopped working. Thanks! Anthony No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
