I updated my messenger today too, I can't even get a list of rooms to come up.
I wonder why that is. I have the latest version of messenger, it still wont
work. Any ideas??????

I upgraded to the latest IE and Java, and it didn't do any good. But
then I uninstalled YM v6 and installed the latest v8.1, and it works
now. So, I strongly suspect if you're using v6, with the new captcha
process you can no longer get into chat rooms.
It will be interesting to see if this reduces spam at all. I suspect
it won't.
