I've got the current 8.1 yahoo messenger. It used to work fine until the other day. Now, all of a sudden, if i'm not running it, it pops up every 5 minutes for me to log on. A concurrent problem is blank offline messages from one dungcoi_vb, as soon as I do log on, with a request to be added as a buddy. I've got him on my ignore list, to no avail. I've googled this problem, and there only seem to be two suggestions. 1) just put him on ignore. (been there, done that...doen't work) and 2) buy some good antivirus software. Gee, thanks. I have one, and I've also run spybot.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling YM 8.1. Same problem. I'm not the only one with this problem...it seems to have been out there for several months...maybe only a few people have it...there is some Asian person with a dungcoi_vb ID...i've seen his messages on some discussion site...but it's not in English...i've sent him a message saying WTF? No response. Even tried adding him as a buddy, but it times out or something. Anybody got any other ideas?
