There is an utility called Yahoo Messenger Archive Reader that you can download
here:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Chat/Other-Chat-Tools/Yahoo-Messenger-Archive-Reader.shtml
. It is a stand-alone program which requires no installation. It will find all
the Yahoo Messenger IDs on your computer with a + sign beside each ID. No
password or signup required. A word of caution: If there are others who use
your computer, don't keep the program on your desktop. Best place to store it
would be on a USB drive or stick or even a floppy disk!

I know messenger archives are stored on my computer, is there any
way to search for a word or words within them?
