This is what Yahoo suggests you try for Mac Web Cam Problems.

It's all about getting along. Please test the compatibility of your
webcam with Yahoo! Messenger by using the BTV application. BTV allows
you to view video from any video input source. This program is
available, by clicking here.  http://www.bensoftware.com/download.html

If your webcam works with the BTV application, it should work with
Yahoo! Messenger. (BTV is fine. You don't need to purchase BTV Pro.)

Please Note: Apple iSight is compatible with Yahoo! Messenger.

ANOTHER OPTION

Why am I getting an error message when I try to view/broadcast a webcam?

There are a few reasons you might receive this error message. You
might be behind a firewall preventing webcam use. Try changing your
connection settings, like so:

   1. Click on the Yahoo! Messenger and select Preferences.
   2. Click on the Connection tab.
   3. Select the "Behind Firewall" option.

If you're still unable to connect using the "Behind Firewall" option,
you might not have the ability to use the webcam feature.

Your firewall must permit outgoing TCP connections on port 5100. Make
the following changes to your firewall:

    * Protocol: TCP
    * Server: webcam.yahoo.com
    * Port: 5100

Most Internet service providers (ISPs) don't have firewalls or
proxies, but you should contact your network administrator or ISP for
accurate information.

ANOTHER CHECK

But it's right there! Go figure. OK, you might receive the "Sorry, no
webcam was found on your system" error for any of the following reasons:

    * You don't have a webcam installed on your system (duh).
    * You have a webcam installed, but it is not plugged in to your
computer.
    * Another application is using your webcam. Close the other
applications and try again.
    * Other applications might have crashed or not released the
camera. Try rebooting your system.
    * Your camera might not be installed correctly.
    * Yahoo! Messenger is using the incorrect camera device.
    * Your camera might not be configured correctly. Try configuring
your camera.
    * Your camera is not compatible with Yahoo! Messenger.
