I totally agree with Lenny.  When you use Yahoo to install anything,
there is a higher chance that you get small interruptions, and
therefore don't get a full flow of any program. 

It's Always better to use a direct link.  Here is the one for the
newest version of Messy for Mac

Also stated is to make sure you have the latest 
    * Mac OS 8.6 or newer
    * CarbonLib 1.5 installed (if running Mac OS 9 or older)

There are other versions of messenger, can you tell me what version
you are using?  They say if you have MAC OS 10 and above there is a
beta 3 version that may work better.  

Let me know what mac messy version you're using now.
