When I do a cam-conference and turn on my cam, it shows my image on my
computer. When the other person turns on their cam, it opens in a separate
window and shows their image.

Are you saying that when they turn on their camera and send you an invite,
you see yourself?

Try NOT turning on your own cam first and just accept their invite to see
what happens. Maybe even properly unplug your cam to make sure your cam
isn't getting turned on inadvertently from their invite. I'm not sure how
that could happen but I guess if you have a bad install, anything is
possible.

How did you do the install of YM 9.0x? Did you just use the YM Installer
from Yahoo or did you download a FULL version from one of the many 3rd party
download sites like FileHippo.com, OldVersion.com or Download.com, etc..

See my blog article
http://lennyvasbinder.blogspot.com/2007/11/how-i-always-do-clean-instal-ofl-
yahoo.html on how to do a clean uninstall and full re-install of YM and try
the directions there to see if that fixes your issue. If you used the Yahoo
Installer, that will often lead to many of the problems/glitches that occur
with YM.

Subject: [Y!M] Webcam Double Image

Can somebody please help? I downloaded the latest version of Yahoo IM and
when I use the webcam I get a double image. Meaning the person that I am
suppose to see on the other end I can't because it shows my image instead.
I tried going back to Yahoo IM 8.1, no help. I ran all virus checkers, no
viruses. I have used Yahoo IM for years and have never had this happen. I
have used 2 different webcams and the problem still exist. I can't get a
hold of yahoo tech support on the phone, I guess they don't exist either. I
have hotmail too and I don't have a problem there so this has to be specific
to Yahoo. I sure hope somebody has resolved this issue, I would hate to
stop using Yahoo :-(
