That is exactly what I am saying.....this happens when I do the inviting. I never thought about having somebody invite me first...I will try that. I installed Yahoo 9.0 directly from the Yahoo website, no 3rd parties. I did a Google search on Yahoo IM double images and it looks like I'm not the only one to have the problem, but there has been no solutions either.

Try NOT turning on your own cam first and just accept their invite to see what happens. Maybe even properly unplug your cam to make sure your cam isn't getting turned on inadvertently from their invite. I'm not sure how that could happen but I guess if you have a bad install, anything is possible. How did you do the install of YM 9.0x? Did you just use the YM Installer from Yahoo or did you download a FULL version from one of the many 3rd party download sites like FileHippo.com, OldVersion.com or Download.com, etc.. I have used 2 different webcams and the problem still exist. I can't get a hold of yahoo tech support on the phone, I guess they don't exist either. I have hotmail too and I don't have a problem there so this has to be specific to Yahoo.
