If yes, go to the Start Menu, then navigate to the Yahoo Messenger folder and then to the actual button that you would normally click to start Yahoo Messenger, right click on that and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR (DO NOT try this with one of the several shortcuts that YM usually creates, such as on your desktop, quicklaunch, etc.). My yahoo knows me but my yahoo messenger does not! I tried to remove yahoo messenger from my control panel and then reinstall it. It said that I didn't have permission to do that.
