[Y!M] My yahoo messenger9 worked fine this mornin'

Now it doesn't know it's new password.  My yahoo knows me but my yahoo 
messenger does not!  I tried to remove yahoo messenger from my control panel 
and then reinstall it.  It said that I didn't have permission to do that.  I 
can read my mail just fine.  I'm running Vista if it matters. Can anyone help 
me?
