I'm changing your subject line since you posted in another thread and it's better to start a new thread to avoid confusion.
I occasionally see this happen when someone is not on my friends list and I'm chatting with them. If I add them, then I get their IM's. I believe this is just another sporadic issue with Yahoo's servers and I've never been able to isolate the cause of this as far as it being either computer user. I know this happens to others from time to time as well and I can only wonder how many people we might PM when in Chat and they never get our IM. LOL Here's a litany of questions that will give us more info and maybe isolate your problem. Please try to answer them all. Are you able to "see" them typing but then you do not get the IM? Are these instances from people on your friends list or people you might have met in Chat and are IM'ing with? If you added them as a friend, did that resolve the issue? Does this happen to everyone you IM or just certain people? How long have you had YM installed on your computer? Have you had this problem from the beginning or only intermittently? Tell me which security programs (AV, Firewall, etc.) you use and if you are fluent in their use... especially the firewall? OK.. that's enough for now.
