Thanks [~pralabhkumar]. Unit test failure in branch-3.1 is related to
YARN-8995, will follow up there.
The branch-3.1 / branch-2 patch has an errant {{private File resourceTypesFile
= null;}} in TestClientRMService, probably caused by an incorrect cherry-pick.
I've uploaded branch-3.1.02 and branch-2.02 patches to fix this trivial issue.
Other than that, +1. Will commit shortly.
