You see Chief the elimination of FETs will make us to deploy all its resources to be fitted from Grade 10 to 12 disciplines, including the practical component of Artisan discipline. The purpose of the establishment of FETs was to address the skills shortage but now we lost the very important factor of building new generation with ideology and skills at the same time, hence it resulted in the overloading the role of Learneships and Internships. If we still have something like 'Further' Education and Training after Matric it seeks to suggest that the knowledge we acquire from Grade 12 is not adequate, to respond to the country's socio economic challenges. We therefore need to react and intensify the capacity of our schooling system as stated on my comment.
