Well said cadre, but the problem is that Malema never started this insults
with Naledi Pandor. all leaders who represented the ANC in government which
had been insulted by him deserves apologies. the ANC leadership for some
time had failed to provide political direction on this matter. It shows that
even the NEC of the Youth League cannot always defend statements of Malema
for their entire term of office.Cde floyd is the spokesperson and has a
better understanding of higher education in this country,he could have been
the relevent person to intervene in TUT and issue statements that seeks to
develop a wayforward in that situatuation. Students of TUT dont need the
Minister to be insulted, they only need to go back to classes and learn.NEC
of the Youth League should condemn this conduct because it does not
represent the view of the membership. Issues of Higher Education needs
serious attention by the NEC of the ANC.i think we can agree that the
outgone NEC's have done nothing to ensure that higher education is
transformed and responds to the needs of the economy of this country.
Cde Mdu i agree that fully the minister should have resigned long time ago,
but the outgone NEC of the ANC could have intervened long time ago if only
they viewed this sector important. when the ANC speaks on Education the
emphasis is on Primary and Secondary education. even the Manifesto has only
a paragraph that speaks of Higher Education.
