Cde Mdu
Thank you so much for the document. I certainly have no doubt that the address was so detailed to an extent that the outgoing premier highlighted the achievements of the administration in a most articulate and vivid manner. If well consumed by the ordinary citizens of the province, the address will inevitably signify that measurable strides have been made by the government to bring about a caring society that enjoys a better life. I am flattered by the his passion as he relates his experiences about china and her achievements; he devoted almost a page in which he writes about the attitude of Chinese and their government towards creation of value and wealth, he is certainly inspired by such an experience and only wishes that Such Africans could emulate the trends and attitudes therein. I am greatly overwhelmed by the level of political maturity that he demonstrates, on page 16 paragraph 2; he makes reference to the how hard his administration had worked to 'create Mpumalanga Government as an institution of integrity whose continued existence is not dependent on the coming and going of politicians, but fashioned by collective understanding of things that should be done professionally to improve the lives of the citizens for the better, irrespective of who enjoys the privilege of using the blue lamps'. This is a loaded statement from which may politicians should draw some inspiration. I am satisfied with his address, however, I believe he should have expounded more on crime prevention efforts. You should recall that KwaNyamazana was acknowledged in the State of The Nation's Address 2005 as a crime ridden area. After all the Premier has done well and deserve a decent farewell and well wishes. Premier Makwetla poses a rare quality of humankind, one which many politicians fail to demonstrate when times of their tenure are dawning, for that I salute him as one of the fine sons of that the movement has produced. The people of Mpumalanga are indebted to the Movement that has given to such a outstanding leader!
