Thanks Cde Lazola

Its unfortunate that I have to respond, Cde Lazola quite clearly you
advocates politics of sectarian against class perspective. SAMWU has
also resolved in their National Congress to convene National Youth
Summit which NUMSA has recently launched their Youth Desk. SAMWU and
DENOSA have affiliated with Public Sector International where the
objective is to ensure that we understand issues of young workers, for
what reason? Recently on our National Strike with regards to
Benchmarking and Wage Curve Agreements it was again young workers whom
were not participating on strike, precisely that they are have political
allegiance to their masters which are councillors.

In our General meeting this young workers they do not attend because
they don't understand workers if not working class struggle. The only
time they attend is when SAMWU is uprooting Councillors who are corrupt
as they defend on the basis being patronized. Almost all municipalities
outsourced core business of municipalities whilst SAMWU is against
outsourcing and privatism.

I strongly believe that SAMWU should engage with NUMSA and other Unions
as well to advocate sustainable jobs. Lazola you should realize that
there were series of community protests complaining about service
delivery matters, some were genuine whilst some were instigated by
councillors furthermore state resources are being utilized and
prioritized for wrong reasons. Many comrades complained about Municipal
Supply Chain Management and its procurement which encourage fraudulent
activities and we are serious as young people of this country we must
act accordingly.

Young people are being recruited in the ANCYL with promises that they
would be employed in municipalities, officials are being promoted in
senior management without proper qualification. In North-West you have
municipality where it operates with one (1) general worker and the rest
are on acting positions at management level, so which service delivery
is expected by communities.

Municipalities are on the verge of increasing electricity tariffs or
outsourcing electricity through RED's as BEE hyena's are waiting to
bloodsuck this municipalities to its knees. Integrated Development Plan
remains the progressive plan of the institution to bring about the needs
of communities but municipalities tend offer courses that are not in
line with what IDP plan has prioritized. Most they offer Computer
Skills, HIV/AIDS, Absenteesim against courses like water purification
and electrical courses as community are in need of clean running water
and electricity.

What we are witnessing is the same business consultant who claim that
municipalities have not capacity. That municipalities to survive they
should outsource the services. We should be campaigning for sustainable
jobs and that cannot happen if we continue to build society of lost
generation and tenderprenuers, we should see to it that we scrap out
policies that seeks to benefit narrow individuals, we must overthrow
capitalist system and build socialist state. And for reformist you must
be careful cause we are watching you.

Lastly Cde Lazola can you assist with registration as there is a need
that one must attend, you seem to a barrier for us to attend, even now I
haven't received registration forms so that SAMWU can approve
time-off's. Please be of assistance in favour of the revolution. Tel 012
318 9590 - Cell 073 363 3155 - Fax 012 318 9203. Please!! Please!!

Lazola do you have any documents of the youth desk. I should think that
you should target the graduates that joins companies and do not want to
belong to the union but as they would want promotions they easily run to
the union for assistance and claiming that EE Plan of the company not
being implemented. I would also like the youth desk to fight for
equality and transformation in our plants.

you lead on.

Cde Gugu

Let me fleet my greatest revolutionary gratitude to our National Office,
Cde Gugu I have been struggling to get registration forms for proper
arrangements as my organization [SAMWU] would only allow some of us whom
were seconded to Public Service Internationally mainly to coordinate
matters of young people in the region. Your job summit would play
pivotal role in understanding what other sectors are struggling from.
Please forward me such registration form please!

SUMMIT PRESS INVITATION AND PRESS BRIEFING

PRESS ALERT: YCLSA's NATIONAL JOBS FOR YOUTH SUMMIT PRESS INVITATION
AND PRESS BRIEFING
18 May 2010
The Young Communist League of South Africa (uFasimba) is hosting a
National Jobs for Youth summit from the 20th to the 21st of
May 2010. This initiative is informed by the crippling statistics of
unemployment which have consequently led to the high levels of
poverty and ailing socio economic conditions, that mostly affect young
people.
The Jobs for Youth Summit is a platform which will award the
opportunity for thorough engagement and interrogation of policies and
mechanisms that have been put in place with the intention of driving job
creation and Youth Development.
The YCLSA has extended the invitation to Youth formations and
organizations from all walks despite their political, social and
religious convictions.
The objective is to instigate debate around unemployment and
allow constructive engagement as it affects all South Africans
directly and
indirectly. More importantly to allow a solutions based debate that
will
further enhance ways to resolve economic disparities.
Speakers for the summit:

      - Minister Ebrahim Patel (Economic Development)

      - Minister Rob Davies ( Department of Trade and Industry
)

      - Minister Blade Nzimande ( Higher Education)

      - Comrade. Zwelinzima Vavi (COSATU)

      - Minister Geoff Doidge (public works)

      - Andile Lungisa (NYDA)
Topics for discussion in the context of Youth Development are as
follows:

      - Education (Is our education system in line with
our
economic demands in the long and short term)

      - Bail out packages ( Is the private sector adhering to
the
conditions of the bailout packages in ensuring that Jobs
are
retained; statistics are reflecting a backward trends)

      - Unemployment (Young people are at the forefront of
service
delivery protests and are the most vulnerable to crime-is
this a
      ticking time bomb)

      - National Military service ( How can this service assist
in
cushioning the impact of the recession and what role can the
defense
play in producing responsible, patriotic and disciplined
citizens
that can be economically active after their training and
service
      within the Defense)

      - Labour broking ( This practice contradicts the
objective
of having permanent quality jobs and Young people are the
most
affected by this ill-practice of modern day slavery )
