*18 May 2010*

The Young Communist League of South Africa (uFasimba) is hosting a National
Jobs for Youth summit from the 20th to the 21st of May 2010. This initiative
is informed by the crippling statistics of unemployment which have
consequently led to the high levels of poverty and ailing socio economic
conditions, that mostly affect young people.

The Jobs for Youth Summit is a platform which will award the opportunity for
thorough engagement and interrogation of policies and mechanisms that have
been put in place with the intention of driving job creation and Youth
Development.

The YCLSA has extended the invitation to Youth formations and organizations
from all walks despite their political, social and religious convictions.
The objective is to instigate debate around unemployment and allow
constructive engagement as it affects all South Africans directly and
indirectly. More importantly to allow a solutions based debate that will
further enhance ways to resolve economic disparities.
