Cadre It becomes pointless to vent without utilising proper platforms, NUMSA (contrary to what you have said) is actually quiet a vibrant and visible structure. However if there are members of the Youth dek with such grievances, don't you think its proper that you engage leadership on the matter .
I don't recall any affirmation that the Youth Desk is or should be an autonomous structure and probably the reason for that was to avoid such premature assertions, as we see below. Why don't you first start at the beginning: mobilising, have proper structures in place, conscientise young workers about NUMSA in its entirety. Build rapport with outher Young Workers' formations and then propose a concrete and tangible programme of action for mass mobilisation At this point cadre, you sound individually disgruntled but your disgruntlement seems more personal than political. This is defeatist and will only delay the growth of the Desk. If you have reservations and concerns about leadership, then its best you take it up directly. Bringing it here to the discussion forum will really not assist you. You will only invite a public spat and grand standing between yourself and leadership and trust me that will only frustrate you as an individual..
