Comrades, on the question of Nationalisation of mines, I am of the view that
Government instead of driving BEE through individuals, buys these stakes on
these mines by using specially developed funding models.

In that case there will be continuity in that the experience will remain but
also that Government employees will get experience in managing mines.

If then this is successful, full scale nationalisation can take place on a
large scale.

Comrades

I thought comrades will as a question of whether the SACP economic policy
perspectives are progressive, in light with its original position on GEAR,
endorsement of ASGISA and now NGP and more recently the opposition to
Nationalisation of Mines and other strategic sectors of the economy (even
when defined as socialization). I thought so because the initial observation
of neo-liberal consistency was suggesting that there are neo-liberal
undertones in the CP's economic policy views and the capitulation to NGP is
reflective of such.

Those who disagree with this should then illustrate how progressive the
Communist Party is on economic policy and those who agree should like I did,
expose some of the weaknesses of the Communist Party's views concerning the
economy and government growth strategies and approaches since 1996. The
petty squabbles we'll not entertain, because they are just that--petty.
