YCLSA.png YCLSA Greater Tshwane District, Media Statement, 28 May 2015 YCLSA utterly dismayed by the suspension of comrade Apson "Wage a relentless war against anti-communist tendency" The Young Communist League of South Africa (uFasimba) in Greater Tshwane district has noted with dismay the suspension of SACP District Secretary comrade Apson Makaung for a period of three years by the ANC Tshwane REC. Comrade Apson was suspended along with other members following unscrupulous process aimed at entrench hegemony for those in power within the ANC. We view all these actions as the widespread victimization of communist cadres across the length and breadth of our district. Narrow nationalists are anti-majoritarian in nature and character; they will always use patronage and dirty money to garner support for their selfish interest at the expense of the working class and the poor. We are perplexed by these current developments and wish to state that narrow nationalists are a threat to the National Democratic Revolution in Tshwane. Comrade Apson should not despair but continue to organise and lead the masses of our people in the district. These are attempts to silence the voice of dissent within the movement. Tshwane as a capital city for the country is turning to be a capital of patronage and brutality. We are therefore calling for intervention from both National and Provincial level within the alliance to find a political solution in Tshwane for the benefit of the alliance and our people as a whole. True to our history, struggle continues. These struggles we will fight side by side till we realize a better South Africa.
