Gang,
Searching your network for friends using given tags is doable with the
APIs, but probably not too efficient.
1. Call http://del.icio.us/feeds/json/network/[YOUR_USER_ID] 2.
For each person in your network, call
http://del.icio.us/feeds/json/tags/[YOUR_FRIENDS_ID]
1. This is a Javascript object of all tags for the given user id,
iterate through it to find the tag you want 2. This will really just
tell you if the person is using the tag or not, which might not be want
you want
3. Or, for each person, call
http://del.icio.us/rss/[YOUR_FRIENDS_ID]/[THE_TAG_YOU_WANT]
1. If the item sequence is empty then your friend is not using that
tag, otherwise you will get back all the resources to which your friend
has assigned this tag
As always, be mindful of the rules. Some interfaces (all interfaces?)
have limits on how often you can call them.
