Yoper Devs, These are great responses.

Collaborating and working toward international sites would be excellent. Steps we could do in the immediate future: if we agree to use Joomla we can consolodate on a layout/content, share theming/design, etc. All of these would improve a inified Yoper brand message, layout, and other things. Plus... content that one thinks up can aid the other... moreso than the existing relationship between yoper.com and yoper.de Personally, I wouldn't want to lose the thousands of posts and members from IPB by starting from scratch using Joomla's integrated boards, nor do I like the idea of an "archived" forum. As soon as a decent bridge is released we could consider moving to Joomla's integrated forums. That doesn't exist at the current time though. As far as the wiki, bugtracker, and forums go. You're lucky... yoper.de uses phpBB. You at least have nice resources for integrating phpBB into Joomla ( http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_i d,134/Itemid,35/ ) Invision Power Board on the other hand has little information on it. I scoured their forums. The best I could find was this: http://www.joombla.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=4 and I would totally buy that script myself... except I don't think we need it. For now it doesn't seem out of line that we should be able to include the Joomla header above the Yoper forums and above Mantis, similar to how we do it now. http://www.joomla.de/ seems to have done it in their forum. It would take getting my hands dirty with Joomla to give an solid response on how well this including the header would go though. If including the header works fine... I think a migration to Joomla would be smooth sailing from there. > _______________________________________________ > yoper-dev mailing list > [email protected] > https://morpheus.pingos.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yoper-dev --Reid Miller (oreo_masta)
