Thanks, Diane.  Yes, notifications requiring confirmation is selected but
even when I select the draft and hit delete I don't get the confirmation
request.  If the email hasn't been named or saved it also will not show up
in the deleted items folder.

It seems that you're right -- I can edit if I actually open the draft in the
draft folder.  The problem is in trying to edit the preview pane without
actually opening the file.  The only function I'm able to do in preview pane
is hit delete and the whole thing just goes away entirely.  Also, I don't
seem to have a backspace key in addition to a delete key like you have,
maybe because I'm on a powerbook.  Only delete and, of course, the left
arrow which just moves the cursor.

Does the above make sense?  Thanks for testing for me.
