Makes perfect sense. Technically, it's not a draft until it's saved. The
behavior is of draft messages is not intuitive. You would expect to be able
to edit it if selected. They should put a banner at the top reminding users
to open to edit. Send feedback so your problem gets on the list to be
improved.
