Let's test your Identity. Create a new Identity in Entourage. No need to enter account info. Just test to see if you add a new event if it sticks. It it works in the new Identity, this indicates database problems. (See below) To take this even further, I would create a new User in System Preferences and do my testing there to see if everything syncs up with iCal. Once you verify that a clean environment is working this will eliminate problems at the OS level. If the test fails in a new User, then download and run the Apple combo updater.
