Thank you, Diane, for your advice on my reinstalling MS Office 2004.

I wonder if you had any comment to the last part of my original inquiry
(questions 4 and 5).

Many thanks/Roger/

4) Currently Entourage Address Book and Entourage Calendar sync with
Apple's Address Book.app and iCal.app.

There must be some procedure to import my old Mac's iCal and Address
Book.app from the old Mac (OS 10.4.11) into the new Mac (OS 10.6.x). Then I
would need to sync the new Mac's iCal and Address Book.app with the new
installation of Entourage -- which itself would be an "import" from the old
Mac's Mac's Entourage.

If I reinstall Entourage on the new Mac, will that cause sync problems with
the new Address Book.app and iCal.app? (I am thinking that the answer to
that one is "no, until I turn on the Entourage pref for "sync").

If I use the previous MUD folder, will it cause any problems syncing with
the new Address Book.app and iCal.app? (I have not yet asked Apple how to
get my existing Address Book.app and iCal.app from OS 10.4.11 in the new OS
10.6.x.)

5) I'm OK with MS Office 2004. Is there any advantage to my switching to
Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Home & Student Edition?
