I do not recall having said anything of the sort.

What I *have* asserted is that perceiving one's *own* motivation in
every arising thought, of every word and in every action is of the
essence.

  'awareness and motivation' ('attention and intention') are the crux of
the matter.

There is no need for you to know my intentions to respond to me
skilfully and wholesomely. You only need to be aware of your own
intentions.
