Anthony,
Based on the definition of 'determinism' below, the Buddha's understanding of karma is almot certainly not deterministic, IMO. -ED Determinism is the view that every event, including human cognition, behavior, decision, and action, is causally determined by an unbroken chain of prior occurrences. Determinists believe the universe is fully governed by causal laws resulting in only one possible state at any point in time. ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deterministic <http://www.google.com/url?q=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deterministic&\ sa=X&ei=YryZTdKhCpD4sAOwloyDAw&ved=0CBIQpAMoAQ&usg=AFQjCNF07Syd235-7zade\ hzE0QyWwa_rmg> --- In [email protected], Anthony Wu <wuasg@...> wrote: > > Steve, > > What do you think is Gotama's viewpoint?
