The strength of this forum has always been its freedom of expressing out oneselves in whatever ways. Saying this if one chooses only to post links and asking intellectual questions, one can perfectly do that. However, all that without ever do any personal sharing of any kind, has not value or whatsoever to any zen, chan, buddhist practicioner or even to any ordinary person. . In general we all humans find warm, nourishment and enrichment by interacting with each others. And there is no interaction with someone who can give anything away. Someone to whom one may ask a question and gives as a response another question or put you a link with a response from someone else. And do this all the time. Perhaps it will be good for ED to put into real action: "it's in the give that we receive". If one never gives a thing away then don't expect to receive in secula secolurum basis. And that is not a rule, but a reality of life.

The forum has no rules other than the general ones that apply to all Yahoo! forums. The focus of this forum is Zen Buddhism, although even that is not strictly enforced. I'm not saying you shouldn't post as you've been posting. I think there are members of this forum that do like posts referencing other information online, in fact I know there are. Edgar, the co-moderator, is someone that immediately comes to mind. All I meant to say with my previous post is that these kind of posts are not interesting to me (and evidently Mel and Mayka) so don't expect a response. I like to see a posts which describe personal experiences that the poster beleives are relevant to zen. You are a valuable and welcome contributor. Your style is just not my style - but that's why we have a forum so people with differing tastes, interests, experiences and styles can get together. ...Bill! --- In [email protected], "ED" <seacrofter001@...> wrote: > > > > > Bill, > > If that is a rule on the Zen Forum, Iwill abide by it.
