Then that doesn't make the Bible any truer, or better, than reflecting on a
book on Aesop's Fables (Aesop's Fables seems a damn sight better source for
morals than the Bible tho).

MEL: God through the bible teaches how to live a moral and clean life, but I
don't think he had ever said to take the whole damn book as a history lesson
that can be verified through archaeological research and tests. It's the
teaching, not the history. For example, what is so wrong with helping your
neighbor's donkey get back on its feet if it sinks to the ground due to too
much load, even though you had an argument with said neighbor before?(EXODUS
23:5, KJV). And our Bill(that one that loves all things Thai...and so do I!...)
will love this one...'Thou shalt not revile god, nor curse the ruler of thy
people'(EXODUS 22:28)...so Bill, you and all others up there better start
loving and respecting President Obama..and Mike you'd better start showing some
respect for Thatcher..hang on, she's still the PM of UK, no?
