That'd be me who was raised in an atheistic household. Actually, I wasn't raised with any particular philosphy named 'atheisim' - it was just a general apathy to things religious. I don't like the word 'atheist'. We don't have a specific name for people who don't believe in astrology, so why have a name for people who just don't see any evidence of a personal god. In the same way, Christians (for example) are atheists in regard to Zeus or Appollo. I love Merle's idea of being in nature as her church. I just take it one step back and don't see the need to add anything to that walk in the forest. Was it Basho who said, "No one walks this path this Autumn evening..."? Mike Ps, Don't mention Thatcher to me. I'm just waiting for that magic moment when I can sing, "Ding Dong the witch is dead!" (My Loving-Kindness meditation is still a work in progress..).
