My children were not raised "as" Christians.  Living in the United States
though
it is difficult to not be influenced.  Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny,
Christian?  My oldest son was 10 and had a very clear idea of Santa Claus but
the Easter Bunny was a bit more confusing.  He then created his own mythos.  He
told me that he believed that Jesus rode on the back of the Easter Bunny
every year and left candy for children. In raising them I felt that they should
be allowed to follow their own paths whether it it be through Faith
and Devotion
or through Silent Contemplation or something else maybe Blind Materialism.  I
have not seen any movement towards the spiritual in any of them.  They are all
cogs in the big American Machine.
