Bill, and Bill!,
I too see the attachment graphs in the "Attachments" area at the website. They
look fine!
I've been studying the Vostok ice core graph for about 15 years, just casually,
alongside the CO2 graph of the same long timespan.
Regularly, I download the most recent monthly tropospheric CO2 data taken at
the Mauna Loa station from the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center, in
Ashville, and add it to my own graph here; I've been doing this for 18 years.
Don't you love that precise data?: sensitive enough to show the seasonal effect
of photosynthesis on CO2 concentration. But of course the general CO2 trend is
UP.
CO2 is up to ~400 ppm now; I think little will be done to keep it from reaching
500 ppm in the next 40 years.
Someday, folks may not have to BUY carbonated soda-water.
You'd think the Beverage Industry would lobby for Renewables, and for leaving
fossil carbon where it is: sequestered.
I don't deny that human behavior is part of Nature. But, now that we're doing
a lot of Nature's THINKING (or not thinking) and ACTING, let's try to make that
thinking representative of Nature in its sweeping extent, and not keep digging
all of Nature into a hole along with humanity.
Some great industries and great technology can come out of it, all you
motor-heads: that's what's got MY wheels turning. And I want to get a wrench
on some more of it. ;-)
A half-bow from the waist, to All,
