I assume that people reading replies have already read the thread and are
informed. I only include *something* of the previous post in order to remind,
not to re-hash the entirety, which I claim is unnecessary. If you're only
noticing this practice of mine NOW, after 5 months, I'd say the loss incurred
by the lack of repetition of intel is particularly insignificant, even if you
should think to claim otherwise at this very late date.
It's my practice in all groups everywhere. But not just mine.
I always feature the part of the previous post that I am replying to, and snip
the remainder (except when I initiate a new thread).
Bandwidth and mailbox space are commodities; maybe less so now, than 20 years
ago. Again, old diehards have habits. Some of them good!, even though the
world may have have moved on... . I maintain it's a good habit, and good
practice; of course, we all can be a little better in all we do. ;-)
