I agree. At the time I had not yet developed my own ideas about some of the open problems in physics, and I was very impressed by the way the old zenjis had apprehended vast emptiness ... long before telescopes and any rational, objective basis for their cosmological perception: IMO, it validated them, and I was interested in anything that claimed to further inform me in that regard.
