So what do you use? The last time I lost power thru a hurricanes action, I used the stick of incense method.
I don't have a noun called zen, my questions were about timing the practice of zazen, an action. I am sometimes very relieved of anxiety when the bell rings for sure. Sometimes having the external timer lets me oddly enough not worry about time during the sitting action.
