I think there's a valuable lesson for all of us here, tho. I don't shirk my responsibility for being suspicious of someone who turned out to be completely innocent, but I see this as a very pertinent example of the dangers of making a living from the dharma. Charging for expenses and other ancillaries is one thing, but *if* it had been true that a Zen teacher was charging $120 an hour for purely Zen related teachings, how would you honestly feel about that? Again, I'm sorry that it was someone you personally know that was the subject of the earlier discussion, but if it had been a complete stranger to you, would you have been so defensive of them?
