Merle,
I leave the birds in the bush because I am so shy and retiring, like you, who
won't even email a artist-painter-zen-teacher. ;-)
And spy on them (the birds...) from a distance with good spyglasses. ;-)
But I WILL try to train these new Doves to eat even from my hand, if I can.
It's said they are an introduced species, and come from a line which has for
hundreds of years lived in Eurasia in close proximity to humans, raised in
cages in a way that really makes them thrive. It's said that the birds are
"tame", even as escapees. Maybe I'll see!!
Again, I'll leave the cat inside for the birds' safety.

PS Merle, I have a big stamp collection, but I haven't worked on it since I
was 13. Practical Astronomy took over my life then. The website was just an
excuse to learn basic HTML, or _vice versa_, a long time ago. I'm completely
out of date with the moving technology, by choice, now.
