joe..
the bird is free.. never chain the bird.. in so doing we chain ourselves.... i am not a bird watcher as such.. even watching birds do we destroy their freedom to be?.. merle Merle, I leave the birds in the bush because I am so shy and retiring, like you, who won't even email a artist-painter-zen-teacher. ;-) And spy on them (the birds...) from a distance with good spyglasses. ;-) But I WILL try to train these new Doves to eat even from my hand, if I can. It's said they are an introduced species, and come from a line which has for hundreds of years lived in Eurasia in close proximity to humans, raised in cages in a way that really makes them thrive. It's said that the birds are "tame", even as escapees. Maybe I'll see!! Again, I'll leave the cat inside for the birds' safety. --Joe PS Merle, I have a big stamp collection, but I haven't worked on it since I was 13. Practical Astronomy took over my life then. The website was just an excuse to learn basic HTML, or _vice versa_, a long time ago. I'm completely out of date with the moving technology, by choice, now. > Merle Lester wrote: > > my friend winnie lives now texas  corpus christi u.s.a of 50 years we met at > art school she's big time into birding and kayaking.. > as they say "a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush" >  i had a glimpse at your home page.. > you have a great deal there.. > do you collect stamps?... > i have been collecting stamps for 60 years..... > merle > > The bird's the thing! > > And yes; Mike, and Merle: the flower. > > --Joe >
