Merle,

It may be repetitious and boring, but the "getting us there" is just really
appreciating where we truly stand, perhaps for the first time, and where we've
stood all along. There *IS* no other place to stand.

This is the view of "Zen", the perspective from Zen practice, and the
perspective from (Zen-) awakening to no-mind. These things are one, and are
not things.

"Getting us there" is not a matter of transportation.

And awakening is not an acquirement.

The "appreciating" it is seeing it, feeling it, and in every way inhabiting it.
This will almost certainly cause quite a shake-up, and a new beginning (of
continued practice: daily life and zazen). It is awakening. Everything is
different, once we are out of the dream. Vivid. Intimate. Empty. Leaving no
trace.

Usually we awake with a start. And the dream COMPLETELY disappears (WHAT
dream?).

It can come back! We can become shrouded and hoodwinked again. This is how
practitioners and teachers "go bad". Practice serves to keep us awake, and
it's a bit different from before awakening, and still crucial. It's always
different. Practice keeps on changing.

Everything depends on it.

Boring... repetitious... me. Don't doubt you're there and need to travel,
instead. We all just wake up to this place and see we are there, and have
always been.

But this saying-so does not make it so.

See what Subhana says, and see what you make "so".

"Don't be in a hurry!", my teacher used to tell (me). I don't mind saying,
even though it's private.
