joe..you accused me of "hating "catholics..."...i have read a great deal of
the works of thomas merton..who was a well renown catholic monk..
one of my very favourite thinkers...
i do not go along with any "old thingi"...i am what you would say the broad
brush sweeper of all religions, meditations ETC and i have a great fondness for
zen..
i really get the "instant" zen moment..regardless of what you's all think i do
not and am not...

so there you go i love a bit of a metaphysical discussion...nothing black and
white..this is it or else scenario...

enlightenment is not about closing off but opening the doors...expanding
evolving and becoming

i am sure my other favourite thinker aldous huxley would agree...

don't box me in..so to speak NO: THE SONG GOES "DON'T FENCE ME IN"

...what are your thoughts on carl jung and his theories.?

however as this is a zen only forum..maybe i betta quit while im still ahead

 mexico city joe..how about peru?

cheers merle

See you, Merle.

If not here, where? There's no heaven or hell, either.

But Really!, seriously: keep your religion. Zen practice is not in conflict
with it. Only Buddhism is. You do not need to become a Buddhist! Zen
practice is available to ALL. I was taught Zen for 22 years by ...a Catholic
Priest. And he was not a renegade, and was a good Irish Redemptorist. Don't
run away when the time is right.

PS Or shall we meet in Mexico City? (oops, that Olympics "line" is out of date)
