mike and bill...dunno about you guys..i have to almost every day be reminded "the path"... i slip often.. merle
Bill!, I don't think it's really a question of "need", as much it is about keeping us mindful of what helps us create the conditions for liberation (an ethical life, a meditative life, wisdom). If you feel that you are sitting perfectly and have penetrated as deep as it's possible to go, then you may very well not need to familiarise your self with such Buddhist works as the Eightfold Path. But gooblegook?... In a debate about evolution, would you call Darwin's theory the same? Mike Sent from Yahoo! All I have to do is know that someone things there is actually an 8-fold path, and not a 7-fold path or a 9-fold path to know it's not going to be of much use to me. I actually do know a bit about the 8-fold path and agree it has some very good advice for people, but I don't need it. ...Bill! --- In [email protected], uerusuboyo@... wrote: > > Bill!,

I'm not sure how you can refer to them as "gooblegook" when > it's clear you haven't even familiarised yourself with them.
