Suresh,
I suspect that, in all such reported cases, it is due to some trauma in the
extreme medical situations undergone. It probably also involves some effects
due to the anesthetic drugs in use at the time.
I think our own practice or sadhana is more useful in informing us of what is
important, and making needed changes to align us and keep us aligned with the
facts of our lives. We don't need hospitals and drugs for that, nor reports in
dubious science magazines, to fulfill that function.
This is my faith.
