I think, in the case of close couples, there is usually consultation between 
the partners, about whether or not to carry a fetus to term.  

I've always felt that, since the man has a responsibility in this,  the man 
must have a "say" in this.

Ultimately, the thing is happening with the woman's body, and I grant that 
ultimately, the choice is hers.  The man ought to "weigh-in", though.

But I also see that the woman can choose not to inform him of the pregnancy, 
and to do what her conscience and view of present and future life impels her to 
do.  How could anyone think to take that away?

If men could become pregnant, I think we'd feel and do as she sometimes does.
