Hi Agnes,

Oh no, that is not what I meant by label. I was using it in the sense of the second
level
of dependent-related phenomena. We label chair, table, dog, stop sign. It is
conventional and useful, and different than the object itself, which would be the base.

"Agnes" is a label or name that is given to a particular set of aggregates. If there
is
delusion present, then that name appears to our mind to be part of Agnes, when in
fact if we investigate, we cannot find it anywhere. It is not within the aggregates,
it is
not apart from the aggregates; this is pointing to the emptiness of inherent existence
of "Agnes". It is a label or name imputed upon an appropriate base. The base must be
the appropriate base... thus we do not mistake a chair for Agnes, or Agnes for Fudo.

Does that help?

to label others or like to be labelled by others (everyone has different reason/s of
why
which we have to find out ourselves; hopefully with a cheerful heart and happy soul).
