My view of the world was incredibly expanded at that > exact point. It is all mind. I had a chance to talk with a monk about some of the various experiences/visions while meditating, all of which seemed at the time world shaking. Yes, they were world shaking. I looked a long time for explanations. You could chase them forever. They aren't important. Religions (even Buddhism) have been built around them, and explaining them. Anyway, his explanation was simply that it is mind ordering experience. Mind seeks order and explanations, justifications and structure. It can't get out of it's body cage and makes up all kinds of things that it feeds back to itself as real. One stunning web site, if you haven't seen it yet is <http://www.spiritualbrain.com/> featuring essays on Persinger's work on religious experience. The essay on Buddha's enlightenment is very worthwhile. There is no doubt the experience you (and I and others) had was a real experience. Can you use it to reduce and end Dukkha. There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in. __________<http://home.golden.net/~samu>__________ ------------------------ Yahoo!
