*chuckle* and left it because...it did not meet the picture in your magazine. My teacher did similar things including becoming a priest, before he left....he left because his picture of what should be no longer matched what the church really was. He looked for another way, and found it....one that adjusted the picture to what really is. If this is not true for you why then did you leave the catholic church? You can visit the pope all you want, but if you did not really embrace what he was teaching, you did not really "join up"...you always held back with the critical eye, and I can hear the echoes of the failure of your idealism in your snarky comments today.
