Diana,

Creationism is insanity, but evolution is not. It is a science you cannot deny.

Who tells God dad what to do? It is dad's dad. It is dads all the way up, from
time immemorial.

Dear Anthony and all,

With all the insanity of the arguments about teaching creationism and evolution
in schools,
I had a laugh - A 5 year old asked me "Who tells God what to do?" I said
"Hmmm, I don't
know, Cody, who DOES tell God what to do?" Cody looked at me like I was stupid
and said
"God's Dad!"

At least we know Buddhism does not say the world was created 6,000 years ago in
one
stroke. It says time is long (without regard to being limited or unlimited) and
space is wide
with many places with different lives. In my view that complies with science.
We should not
be discoraged by a few words from scriptures (especially Mahayana) that say
there should
be man and woman coupling before life starts. How about cloning? Scriptures
were written
after the Buddha passed away. He was smart enough to keep 'golden silence'.
