Zenossians!
We are announcing a narrow pre-release (zenoss-users list only) of
the next version of Zenoss Core Version 1.1. Provided that we find
no major bugs it will become the official release later this month.
Please download and test it out!
This release of Zenoss Core contains many new features and bug fixes.
The key areas of new features are:
* UI - many enhancements such as new swoopy graphs that use AJAX to
provide scrolling and zooming.
* Reporting - several new performance oriented reports.
* Change Tracking - has zenmodeler performs auto-discovery changes
are logged in the event system.
* Actions - execute commands based on events and from the web UI.
* Platform Support - SLES 10 (RPM) and Solaris 10 64-bit source
build using Sun Studio 11 compiler.

**Important Note for RPM Users**
The Zenoss RPM no longer includes conf files in /opt/zenoss/etc. If
you have customized the conf files your changes will be lost when you
upgrade. However, prior to removal the conf files are copied to /tmp/
zenossrpmupgrade/<pid>. If you have not customized the conf files you
can simply remove the /tmp/zenossrpmupgrade directory. If you have
have customized the conf files and you wish to continue using your
customizations you should copy the individual files from /tmp/
zenossrpmupgrade/<pid> to /opt/zenoss/etc after you have executed the
rpm -Uvh zenoss-1.1.0-0.i386.rpm command.
